Your facility sets the brief.

Every processing environment has its own requirements. Tell us the work involved, the production setting and the experience needed to contribute safely and effectively.

For skilled meat-worker enquiries, the conversation may include boning, slicing or slaughtering duties. The role, candidate experience and proposed employment pathway need to be assessed together.

Useful details to share

  • Facility location, processing activities and the actual duties.
  • Number of positions and the experience needed for each role.
  • Roster, salary range and intended recruitment timing.
  • Existing sponsorship or labour-agreement arrangements, if any.
  • Induction, accommodation and worker-support arrangements.

A documented connection

Preparation matters.
So does experience.

A Malaysian government release documents a 2024 Pansomal / TalenTAC collaboration with Kolej Komuniti Sabak Bernam on meat-processing training for potential employment in Australia.

The programme is part of the background to this recruitment conversation. Training attendance alone does not establish suitability for a particular role or visa.

Questions before
you recruit.

Is this a general labour supply service?

This page is for enquiries about skilled meat-processing recruitment. A suitable pathway must be established for the actual role. The published Meat Industry Labour Agreement template does not permit placement into unskilled labouring positions.

Does a training course make someone ready for Australian employment?

A training course is only one part of a person’s background. Work experience, skills assessment, English requirements and the employer’s arrangements may all affect eligibility. Each case needs appropriate review.

Can you confirm arrival dates or visa approval?

Recruitment timing depends on candidate readiness, employer requirements, assessments and government processing. Any delivery plan must reflect those factors. Visa decisions are made by the Australian authorities.

Where can we read the official requirements?

The Australian Department of Home Affairs publishes the Meat Industry Labour Agreement template (PDF) and current skilled-visa processing priorities. Your actual agreement and circumstances should be reviewed with a qualified migration adviser.

General information reviewed 13 September 2026. Official requirements may change.
